Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We are located in Shadelands at 311 Lennon Lane, Suite A, Walnut Creek. It is the third driveway of the left on Lennon Lane, just before (or after works too) the sign that says 301-325 Lennon Lane. Then, you go all the way to the back of the parking lot until you see a residential fence and our entrance is facing the residential fence.

Is there any thing I need to do to prepare for my float?

Avoid floating within at least one week of coloring or treating your hair, avoid shaving or waxing one to two days before floating, avoid floating if you have any open wounds, avoid floating if you are menstruating, avoid floating within at least one week of receiving a tattoo.

Do I need to bring anything?

We provide showers, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, spa sandals, robes, towels, hair dryers, make up remover, ear plugs, and optional head / neck support pillow. Most people find it comfortable to allow their arms to float naturally by their sides without a head / neck support pillow. There is no need to bring a swim suit or swim cap. This would take away from the floating experience.

Should I eat before I float?

Avoid caffeine before floating and try to eat a small meal / snack two hours prior to floating so you do not hear your stomach growl during your float:)

Do I have to turn the lights out or close the door to the float room or the lid to the float pod?

Your environment is completely within your control. You control the light, music, float room door or float pod lid open or closed, and there is an intercom in each float room and float pod if you need assistance. You may feel a chill across your stomach if you leave your float room door or float pod lid open for the entire session.

What happens if I fall asleep while floating?

Many people fall asleep while floating and rest peacefully on their back. I have not heard of this happening to anyone, but if you rolled over you would get salt in your eyes and it would really hurt so you would wake up immediately.

Do I have to shower again if I have already showered at home before I float?

Everyone showers both before and after their float session using our shampoo and body wash. Our products are low foaming and help maintain the pristine quality of the water. Showering before you float also ensures that germs, make up, oils, lotions, creams, etc. are all removed and help maintain the pristine quality of the water.

How will I know when my session is over?

The light (if you elected to take advantage of turning the light off) and music will gently come on indicating that your session has come to an end.
